2 Charged In Annapolis Mall Armed Robbery

Two Upper Marlboro men are charged with robbery and assault for allegedly holding up a store at Annapolis Mall, police say.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Two Upper Marlboro men have been arrested for robbing a store in Annapolis Mall Thursday evening, and Anne Arundel County Police are searching for a third man who reportedly acted as a lookout but got away. The armed robbers allegedly told an employee at the Flexy store, 1530 Annapolis Mall, that he had a handgun.

A second man then came into the store and put merchandise in a bag while a third man served as a lookout outside the store, authorities say. The clerk confronted the second robber, took the items from the bag, and all three men ran from the store. Officers quickly found and arrested two of the suspects, while the third is still being sought.

Police say Noel Marcus Clark, 23, of the 8600 block of Monmouth Drive in Upper Marlboro, and Niko Tymeal Staples, 21, of the 4500 block of Captain Duval Drive in Upper Marlboro, are both charged with robbery, armed robbery, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, theft less than $100, and reckless endangerment.
