3 Charged for Heroin, Cocaine Trafficking in Glen Burnie Raid
Two Glen Burnie residents and a third person were arrested in a raid by the Anne Arundel County Heroin Task Force on Dec. 1.
GLEN BURNIE, MD — Three people, including two Glen Burnie residents, were arrested during a recent raid by the Anne Arundel County Heroin Task Force. Officers seized heroin, crack cocaine and cocaine hydrochloride — a form of cocaine used as a local anesthetic in eye, ear, or throat surgeries — from a Glen Burnie house on Dec. 1.
Police officers executed a search warrant in the 1000 block of Sharon Drive in Glen Burnie after a months-long investigation into narcotics trafficking at a residence where two of the suspects lived. Detectives found drugs and drug paraphernalia in the home.
Police seized the following from the house:

- 29 capsules of heroin, weight 8.03 grams, estimated street value $290
- 1.5 grams of heroin, estimated street value of $180
- 53.44 grams of cocaine hydrochloride, estimated street value of $5,344
- 1.5 grams of crack cocaine, estimated street value of $150
- About 150 empty gel capsules ready to be packaged
- 3 sifters used to process heroin for packaging

Diana Lynn Burroughs, 55, of the 1000 block of Sharon Drive in Glen Burnie:
- Possession of heroin
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
Sancher Ferdillanagella Ropon, 33, with no fixed address:
- False statement
- Destruction of property
- 6 additional warrants for theft from auto and credit card fraud
The heroin task force is comprised of members from the Anne Arundel County Police Department, the Anne Arundel County Sheriff's Office, the Annapolis City Police Department and the Baltimore Police Department.
