45 MD Police Departments Cracking Down On Speeders This Weekend: See List

Nearly four dozen police departments from across Maryland will increase patrols this weekend for a state-organized enforcement event.

MARYLAND — Nearly four dozen police departments from multiple Maryland counties and cities will join state police this weekend to increase patrols and crack down on speeding drivers, officials said Thursday.

The high-visibility enforcement event plans to specifically target speeders in hopes of decreasing crashes and improving safety on Maryland roads, state Motor Vehicle Administration officials said in a news release.

"We are asking all Marylanders to give themselves plenty of time to reach their destination and to please slow down," Motor Vehicle Administrator Chrissy Nizer said in a statement. "Speeding will only increase your chances of not getting to your destination at all."
