$50K Lottery Win Buys House Cleaner New Wheels

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Buying a new set of wheels tops the list of things a lucky Annapolis woman plans to do with the $50,000 prize she won playing the Maryland Lottery’s Million Dollar Spectaculargame.

The 31-year-old mother of two was driving with her dad when they stopped at Annapolis Exxon. Her father brought the $20 scratch-off back to the car for her and the pair couldn’t believe their good fortune.

“He said, ‘Look at this!’ and I said, ‘Oh my goodness,’” she told the Maryland Lottery. The next day, the two drove to Lottery headquarters in Baltimore to claim the prize.

Paying bills is also on her list of ways to spend her big prize, said the winner, who cleans homes for a living. Her father is a big scratch-off player, she said, but she plans to increase her purchases in hopes of winning again.

“Maybe one day we will win $1 million!” she said.
