$57K Pot Seizure: Annapolis Police Reports

In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 81 calls for service and arrested 7 people.

Marijuana Seizure– On 01/07 officers from the Annapolis Police Department seized over 3 pounds of marijuana from a vehicle on Maryland Route 665. Officers received information from another agency about a vehicle involved in illegal drug activity. They located the vehicle on Forest Drive and conducted a traffic stop on Route 665. Officers could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and a police K-9 gave a positive alert for the presence of illegal drugs. Officers searched the vehicle and located marijuana in the trunk. The estimated street value of the drugs is over $57,000. The driver and sole occupant was Edward Shin, 20, of Crofton. Shin was arrested and charged with CDS possession with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana. Shin was released after posting a $25,000 bond.

Theft from Vehicle – 100 block of Quiet Waters Place – 01/08 at 8:29am: Money, sunglasses, and a phone charger were stolen from unlocked vehicle overnight.

Armed Robbery – 600 block of Greenbriar Lane – 01/08 at 8:47pm: An adult male pizza delivery driver was in the area delivering food when he was approached by two adult male suspects wearing dark clothing. One of the men displayed a handgun and demanded money. The suspects took money and food and ordered the victim to get on the ground. The two suspects ran toward Bywater Road. The victim got up as the suspects were running away and the suspect with the gun fired one shot at the victim, missing him, and continued to run away.
