ANNAPOLIS, MD — Police and the family of an Eastport man critically injured Dec. 30 in a hit-and-run accident are asking residents to share video that might help find the driver responsible.

A total of $7,000 in reward money has been offered for tips that solve the case; $5,000 by the Keller family and $2,000 by Metro CrimeStoppers.

"We're asking if you have any information, please come forward," said the victim's daughter, Jessie Keller. "No human being deserved to be hit and left in the road like this, so please come forward with any information you have."

Sammy Keller was likely hit by an SUV about 9:30 p.m. as he was crossing the street at Chesapeake Avenue at State Street, police said. The vehicle may have been a Ford and could have front-end damage.

Please released photos of the suspect vehicle on Thursday. The vehicle is a white 2011-2015 Ford Edge with tinted windows.

Chief Edward C. Jackson asked residents for help finding the driver.

"If you're watching this video and you know that you're responsible, turn yourself in," Jackson said.

Jessie Keller said a GoFundMe account has been established to help pay her father's medical bills. About $26,000 had been donated by Friday afternoon.

On the fundraising site she wrote: "At this time we are waiting to determine if he has sustained brain damage or not. If he makes it, he will need many additional surgeries and has a very extensive healing journey ahead of him."

Annapolis Police are seeking doorbell camera footage captured between 9:20 and 9:35 p.m. that night from residents who live along Chesapeake between Sixth Street and Bay Ridge Avenue, even if the footage is of poor quality or lighting.

Residents can send their videos to dmdekowsky@annapolis.gov.

Tips can be called in to Annapolis Police at 410-268-4141.
