8 Businesses Fail Liquor Checks, Sell To Underage Customer In Anne Arundel County: Police
Eight businesses were caught serving alcohol to an underage person in Anne Arundel County, police said. Another 13 eateries passed the test.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Eight Annapolis businesses failed their liquor checks by serving alcohol to an underage customer, city police announced Wednesday. Another 13 establishments passed their test and complied with the alcohol age requirement.
Officers said these eateries failed the inspection:
- Federal House Bar & Grille at 22 Market Space
- Eastport Kitchen at 923 Chesapeake Ave.
- Davis' Pub at 400 Chester Ave.
- Picante Annapolis at 48 West St.
- Rams Head at 33 West St.
- Mi Lindo Cancun Grill at 2134 Forest Drive
- Dry 85 at 193 B Main St.
- Tequila Sunrise Restaurant at 1975 West St.
Authorities said they cited those businesses and forwarded them to the Liquor Board for administrative action.

These businesses passed the compliance check, police said:
- Acme Bar and Grill at 163 Main St.
- Adam's Taphouse Grille at 921 C Chesapeake Ave.
- Annapolis Waterfront Hotel/Pusser's Caribbean Grille at 80 Compromise St.
- Blackwall Hitch at 400 Sixth St.
- Buddy's Crabs and Ribs at 100 Main St.
- Lemongrass at 167 West St.
- McGarvey's Saloon and Oyster Bar at 8-10 Market Space
- Paul's Homewood Café at 919 West St.
- Iron Rooster at 12-14 Market Space
- Ledo Pizza & Pasta at 505 S. Cherry Grove Ave.
- Sabor Latino Restaurante y Bar at 509 S. Cherry Grove Ave.
- Sin Fronteras Cafe at 2129 Forest Drive
- Stan and Joe's Saloon at 37 West St.
"These establishments are encouraged to continue their diligence and remain compliant for the safeguarding of the youth in the community," the Annapolis Police Department said in a press release. "Keep up the good work!"

Officers conducted the inspections on Monday. Annapolis Police Cadets joined detectives during the afternoon and evening.
The operation was funded through a grant from the Anne Arundel County Department of Health. The grant focuses on preventing or reducing underage drinking, youth binge drinking and alcohol-related crashes.
