AACPS Makes Weather Decision For Tuesday, Jan. 15

BREAKING: Schools will be on a modified schedule on Tuesday, Jan. 15, in Anne Arundel County.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — As crews continue to clear parking lots and sidewalks on Monday, Anne Arundel County Public Schools will have a late start to classes on Tuesday, Jan. 15.

The school system said in a late Monday afternoon announcement: "AACPS crews have been out clearing school lots and driveways since last night and are continuing that work as of the posting of this message. However, to allow additional time for travel and for students who walk to school to navigate sidewalks and other walkways, all Anne Arundel County Public Schools will open two hours late on Tuesday, January 15. There will be no morning half-day pre-kindergarten or ECI classes, and no morning sessions at the Centers of Applied Technology North or South. Students in full-day pre-kindergarten classes will have class, and should report two hours later than normal."

Snowfall amounts from the weekend storm range from about 6 to 12 inches across the county, according to the National Weather Service.
