Actor, Musician Young Dylan Of Annapolis Honored In Town Oct. 28
A motorcade and city council citation will honor Annapolis native Young Dylan on Oct. 28; he's about to star in a Nickelodeon series.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Local musician and actor Dylan Gilmer, 10, will be treated to a motorcade through town Oct. 28. Gilmer recently signed to star in a Nickelodeon sitcom. The event will begin at Germantown Elementary School at 6 p.m. and continue toward downtown.
At City Hall, Gilmer will be presented with a city council citation by Annapolis Mayor Gavin Buckley and a key to the city by Annapolis Alderwoman Sheila Finlayson. The presentation will occur during the scheduled special meeting of the Annapolis City Council.
The motorcade will begin with vehicles for the Annapolis City and Anne Arundel County police and fire departments. Two trolleys will bring elected officials and schoolchildren along the route. Gilmer will arrive in a convertible.

Tyler Perry announced in an Oct. 12 episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show that Gilmer, known as "Young Dylan,” will be the star of a new sitcom being produced by Tyler Perry Studios under Telepictures, a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Television. The show was created specifically for Gilmer. In July, Young Dylan was a featured performer on “America’s Got Talent.”
