Adele's 'Hello' Remade for School Closing Message
Listen to the sendup of Adele's "Hello" that an Anne Arundel County Schools spokesman and his daughter recorded.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — There’s only so many ways to say that school is canceled because of snow.
So Tuesday, Anne Arundel County Public Schools spokesman Bob Mosier and his daughter, Emilie, channeled Adele’s hit “Hello” to share the news of another snow day.

They re-wrote the standard closure recording that goes out to parents and Mosier sang this instead:
“Hello, it’s me. It’s the voice you love to hear from and the face you do not see. And I’ve got news for you, we will close schools for another day, parents will cry boo hoo.”

Then Emilie sang a verse from the student perspective:
“Hello, can you hear me? I am loving this semester break, but my friends I can’t see. This is dreadful socially. Just so many selfies I can take and send to all my peeps.”
Parents appreciated the sense of humor in the midst of endless snow shoveling and kids trapped at home. One commenter on the Anne Arundel Breaking News Facebook page, which posted the audio link, said, “With all this cabin fever going on, perfect timing..outrageously funny!!”
And Tess Stumme Thompson said, “The teachers love Bob. This made us love him more!”
Just a reminder, that Thursday is scheduled to be a teacher workday in the district; students return to class on Friday.
But stay tuned for updates.
