Admiral Heights residents Meet the Creek

About 25 Admiral Heights residents showed up for the community’s annual Meet the Creek event which gives residents an opportunity to take a boat ride, meet neighbors, snack on cookies and brownies, and learn about the environment.

The event attracted young families, new residents, and seniors, some of whom had lived in the neighborhood almost 40 years. One participant marveled at the diversity of the neighborhood, noting that one neighbor had a baby and another’s age was in the 80s.

With no rain this year, participants waved at neighbors, watched the ducks and geese, and admired the boats and houses along the creek.

The Chesapeake Bay Foundation and the Department of Natural Resources provided informational materials.
