ANNAPOLIS, MD — One person was arrested late Friday over a fight involving several people that ended with pepper spray being deployed and a weapon being waved, police said.
The Annapolis Police Department said the incident took place on the 700 block of Newtowne Drive, with officers being called to the area around 9:45 p.m. for an aggravated assault.
At the scene, officers were met with an individual who said a fight had broken out among a "group" of people.
Authorities were informed that one of the individuals involved not only pepper-sprayed the group but also waved a knife at others.
Kortlan Jackson, a spokesperson for the Annapolis Police Department, told Patch that the complainant and the individuals involved in the brawl were all below the age of 18.
Jackson said the relationship between the individuals was unknown.
Although police did not identify that person, they did state the individual was arrested and "charged accordingly."
There was no mention of injuries suffered during the incident.
