A group of 100--adults and students--learned from technical parters LimnoTech and Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake about the harm that stormwater runoff does to local waterways and the Chesapeake Bay and how to help control that runoff from roofs with rain barrels. They also learned how to install those rain barrels and maintain them as they saw three barrels installed at the church.

Those who took part in the workshop and partnered with St. Philip’s included sixth graders and their teachers from Annapolis Area Christian School and members of the Annapolis Friends Meeting and the Unitarian Universalist Church of Annapolis.

St. Philip’s Rain Barrel project was funded through a generous Community Engagement and Restoration Grant from Chesapeake Bay Trust.

St. Philip’s Episcopal Church is located at 730 Bestgate Road, Annapolis, MD 21401, 410-266-9755.
