ANNAPOLIS, MD — Expanding its footprint across the region, World Market will be hosting the grand opening this month for its first base in the county.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony is booked for June 26 at 9:45 a.m. at 160 Jennifer Road in the Annapolis Plaza. The site is next to Trader Joe's.
Opening weekend will offer customers a mix of goods that range from giveaways to special savings and complimentary food and drink tastings.
The World Market chain store, which is known for its collection of home furniture, decor and gourmet foods, will take over the 16,818-square-foot space previously home to Modell's Sporting Goods.
The opening will mark the chain's third store in Maryland. Other locations can be found in Baltimore County's White Marsh area and off Rockville Pike in Montgomery County.
Once officially opened, the store will serve customers Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday. Customers can visit the shop on Sunday anytime between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.
