The Annapolis branch is being opened by Baltimore County native Steven Frid, who previously told the Baltimore Business Journal that he wanted to open the shop to provide men with an elevated barbershop experience.

Residents will get the chance to have their hair cut or nails professionally trimmed while getting a tailored experience that includes watching the day's big game on one of the shop's many screens.

"Men don't take enough time for self-care and slowing down to take a breath in the middle of their busy lives," Frid told the outlet. "Women have salons when they want to look good and get pampered, and I think Hammer and Nails gives men a place to do that, too."

Frid's 2,000-square-foot shop is offering founding member deals to residents who sign up before opening day. Memberships include between two and four monthly haircuts, with prices that start as low as $96.

The August opening marks a larger push by the brand to expand into Maryland, with two locations in the works in Montgomery County. A Hammer & Nails is on the cusp of opening in Bethesda.

Once officially open, Hammer & Nails Annapolis will welcome guests daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
