Officials confirmed the blast was accidental, identified the local couple involved, and praised neighbors who rushed in to help, while urging Annapolis homeowners to install carbon monoxide alarms and schedule regular fuel‑appliance inspections.
• OLS Student Selected for U.S. Naval Academy Summer STEM Program (otmj.com) — A motivated eighth-grade graduate recently spent a week at the U.S. Naval Academy's competitive Summer STEM Program in Annapolis, joining top students from across the country. Her experience on the Yard deepened her interest in STEM and military service, and she now hopes to return to Annapolis as a midshipman and eventually fly with the Blue Angels.
