2. 3. Public invited to provide input on proposed changes to menhaden fishery harvest (wavy.com) — Annapolis residents can weigh in on big proposed cuts to the Chesapeake Bay's industrial menhaden harvest, with a free "Menhaden Matter" event at the Philip Merrill Environmental Center on September 10. The Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission is considering halving the Bay's reduction fishery cap and spreading catches across the season, and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation is urging strong conservation measures and robust public comments before October 9.
4.
