3. Annapolis Yacht Club Seeks Member Approval to Purchase Annapolis City Marina (eyeonannapolis.net) — Annapolis boaters should know the Annapolis Yacht Club is asking members on September 14 to approve buying Annapolis City Marina, including its slips, fuel dock, and parking on Spa Creek. The deal could reshape access to prime Eastport waterfront amid a wave of private equity–backed marina acquisitions around Annapolis and Anne Arundel County.
4. Lt. Governor Aruna Miller Chairs Safer Maryland Coalition Inaugural Meeting Advancing Roadway Safety (maryland.gov) — State leaders gathered in Annapolis to launch the Safer Maryland Coalition, a new group tasked with turning roadway safety ideas into concrete actions toward zero traffic deaths by 2030. With commitments expected from local officials statewide, Annapolis residents could see new policies, enforcement efforts, and safety projects shaping how they drive, bike, and walk in coming years.
