Human Remains Found At Truxtun Park In Annapolis: Police

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Human remains were found late Tuesday in Truxton Park, according to Annapolis police.

Authorities said in a Wednesday release that the remains appear to be human and were discovered in a wooded area of the park.

The remains are presently in the custody of the Maryland Office of Chief Medical Examiner as investigators work to determine the identity and cause of death.

No additional details regarding the finding were released. Annapolis police said there is no known threat to the community.

Officials said portions of Truxtun Park may be closed off to the public as the department continues its investigation.
