Annapolis Burglar Convicted On 13 Charges: Police
A Brooklyn man found with a bag full of items stolen from an Annapolis home has been convicted on 13 charges, police say.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A Brooklyn man caught with a bag full of items stolen from a house was convicted Thursday by a jury on more than a dozen criminal charges. Annapolis Police say Gordon Collins, 33, of Brooklyn, was found guilty on 13 counts, including first-degree burglary, for the March 17 burglary.
Collins was found responsible for a break-in in the 800 block of Severn Avenue. A resident reported about 11:20 p.m. that a suspect fled the home after stealing numerous items. The suspect entered the home through an unlocked window. Officers in the area located Collins near Wells Avenue.
Police say Collins was carrying a bag containing items stolen from the home on Severn Avenue. Collins was arrested and charged with the burglary.

Collins is scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 11, authorities say. He will also have a hearing in December for a violation of probation for an earlier attempted fourth-degree burglary conviction.
