Annapolis Crime: Police Arrest Man on Drug, Disorderly Conduct Charges

The (APD) reported 116 calls for service and eight arrests in the past 24 hours. The information below is a roundup of recent incidents supplied by the APD.

Man Arrested on Drug, Disorderly Conduct Charges—An Annapolis man was arrested on disorderly conduct and drug charges Friday after police said employees of an Eastport store called to report he was yelling at customers.

Jason Darryle Hogan, 26, was charged with trespassing on private property, disorderly conduct and CDS possession-marijuana, according to online court documents.

Police said employees at the on Sixth Street called to report a man cursing and yelling at customers. When officers arrived, they reportedly told the man to leave and banned him from returning.

According to Friday’s daily incident report, the man came back a few hours later and started yelling at customers again. Officers responded and made an arrest, and when they searched the man, police said a bag of suspected marijuana was found in his pocket.

Hogan is currently being held on $10,000 bond, police said.

Theft from Cars on Spa Creek Landing—Police said someone went inside two unlocked cars and took change from one and a black cell phone from the other. The incident occurred in the unit block of Spa Creek Landing between 1 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m Tuesday.

Burglary of Several Offices on Forbes Street—Police are currently investigating the reported burglary of several private West Annapolis offices. Police said someone entered several businesses in the 100 block of Forbes Street between 10:20 and 11:30 a.m. Thursday. The person appeared to be looking for valuable items in desk drawers.

When employees approached the man, he told them he was lost, according to police.

According to Friday’s daily incident report, it doesn’t appear that anything was taken.

Robbery on Forest Drive—City police are currently investigating a reported robbery on Forest Drive. Police said the incident occurred near Thorn Court at about 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

The victim was approached by a man and woman while waiting for the bus, according to Friday’s daily incident report. The woman reportedly asked for a cigarette and a dollar and when the victim went to get his wallet, hit him in the face, grabbed the wallet and took $30, according to police. The suspects ran away and were not found.
