Annapolis Crime: Police Find Marijuana in Stairwell of Apartment

Marijuana Found in Apartment Stairwell—A city police officer found 11 small baggies of marijuana in the stairwell of an apartment in the 1100 block of Madison Street, police said. According to Wednesday’s daily police brief, an officer received a report of drug activity in the area Tuesday. When the officer arrived, no one was there, but he found a sweatshirt left on a railing. According to police, the officer checked the pockets and found the marijuana.

Burglary on South Southwood Avenue—Police said someone changed the lock on the outside garage door of a building in the 200 block of South Southwood Avenue and took two nail guns, a sander, a drill and other tools. Police said the incident occurred between 11:40 a.m. on Nov. 4 and 7 p.m. on Nov. 15.

Attempted Burglary on Belle Drive—Police said someone removed a screen from the rear window of a home in the 1700 block of Belle Drive between 6:45 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Monday. The person did not gain entry into the home, police said.

Theft from Car on President Street—Police said someone took a car cover from a vehicle that was parked in a driveway in the 200 block of President Street Sunday night. The incident occurred sometime between 10:30 pm. Sunday and 6:45 a.m. Monday, police said.
