Annapolis Crime: Police Investigate Stabbing, Woman Thanks Police for Finding Her 85-Year-Old Mother

Police Assist Woman in Locating her 85-year-old Mother—Two Annapolis Police officers helped an 85-year-old woman reunite with her daughter after the two became separated during a visit to Annapolis on Oct. 26. Police said the daughter recently wrote an email to police expressing her gratitude.

Theft from Vehicles on President Street —Police are investigating the possible use of a lockout device to open two locked vehicles. Police said the incident occurred in the 300 block of President Street between 8:45 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 a.m. Monday. According to police, nothing was taken from one vehicle. However, a steering wheel cover, CD case, floor mats and 200 CDs were taken from the other vehicle, police said.

Theft from Vehicle—Police believe someone may have used a lockout device to open a locked car in the 300 block of President Street. Police said the incident occurred between 9 p.m. Saturday and 7:30 a.m. Sunday. Police said an iPod and a pair of earphones were removed from the car.

Attempted Robbery—Police are investigating an attempted robbery in the 700 block of Newtown Drive. According to police, the victim was approached by four or five people while walking. Police said one person pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded prescription medication. The victim was struck in the head with the gun several times. Private security entered the area and the suspects ran away, according to police. The incident occurred Monday around 4:45 p.m.

Stabbing—Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred in the 1100 block of Madison Street at around 2 a.m. Tuesday morning. Police said the victim, an Annapolis man, was walking with an acquaintance and the acquaintance's brother. Police said the acquaintance's brother cut the victim's face with a knife. The victim was treated at Anne Arundel Medical Center, according to police. Patch will update this story as more information becomes available.
