Annapolis Crime: Recovered Scooter, Tires Stolen from Car at Dealership

Stolen Scooter Recovered—On Tuesday, city police recovered a scooter that had been reported stolen from the 100 block of West Street at about noon. At 5:30 p.m. that day, someone called to report a scooter blocking the gate to his rear fence, according to police. The scooter turned out to be the one reported stolen and was returned to its owner.

Tires Stolen from Car at Delearship—Police are investigating the reported theft of four 18-inch Michelin all-season tires that were mounted on four 18-inch alloy wheels from a car at a dealership in the 2000 block of West Street. Police said the incident occurred between 9 p.m. Monday and 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Robbery—City police are investigating a robbery that occurred in the 700 block of Great Bay Avenue at about 8 p.m. Tuesday. According to police, the victim was walking to his car and talking on the phone when he saw four teen boys sitting on a bench in the area.

Police said as the victim got closer the teens ran up to him and surrounded him. They punched and kicked the victim, who then fell to the ground. Police said the teens demanded money, but only took the victim’s cell phone before running away toward Bywater Road. The victim told police he was not injured, according to the report.
