Annapolis Crime Report: Police Arrest Fugitive Wanted for Attempted Murder

Annapolis Police warn residents not to leave their cars unlocked with the engines running to warm up, or thieves will take advantage.

In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 80 calls for service and arrested 7 people.

Good News – On 11/19 at 6:22pm Kyle Murray, 21, of Annapolis was arrested for five open warrants, including one for attempted murder and one for first-degree burglary. At 5:48pm officers saw Murray in the unit block of Bens Drive. Murray fled across Forest Drive toward Hillsmere Drive. Officers started searching the area and saw Murray go over a fence from Annapolis Neck Road to Quiet Waters Place, where officers arrested him. Murray is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center on $210,000 bond.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle – 1200 block of Gemini Dr – 11/19 at 12:47pm: The black Dodge Dart stolen on 11/16 was recovered parked and unoccupied. The spare keys for two vehicles, including the Dart, were left inside a third, unlocked vehicle. The Jeep Patriot stolen at the same time as the Dart was already recovered.

Burglary – Unit block of Isaacs St – 11/19 at 8:17pm: Officers responded to an intrusion alarm at the home and found a ground-floor window shattered and the rear door open. Officers checked the home, but no one was located inside. The home was entered and items moved, but the owner could not respond to see if anything was stolen.

Burglary – 200 block of Chatham La – 11/19 from 3:30pm to 9:55pm: An unlocked rear, ground-floor window to the home was entered and jewelry, watches, and a laptop computer were stolen.
