Annapolis Dad Wins $2M Off Maryland Lotto Scratch Ticket

The 43-year-old man bought a Richer scratch ticket and won $2 million, which he plans to use to buy his family a home.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A dad who popped into the 7-Eleven in Annapolis for a soda pop after dropping the kids off at school ended up buying a winning Maryland Lottery scratch ticket worth $2 million. The 43-year-old man bought a $2 million Richer scratch ticket at the convenience store at 1527 Forest Drive, which cost $30.

He scratched off the ticket in his car and smack dab in the middle of the instant ticket was a gold bar with the word “win” under it along with the amount of $2 million. In disbelief, the dad checked his instant ticket using the Maryland Lottery app on his smartphone, which confirmed that he was the winner.

“I couldn’t believe it. I was nervous. I didn’t know what to do,” he told the Maryland Lottery.
