Annapolis Driver Critically Hurt In Arnold Crash
An Annapolis man is in critical condition at a Baltimore hospital after his vehicle slammed into a tree, police say.

ARNOLD, MD — An Annapolis man is in critical condition at a Baltimore hospital after his vehicle slammed into a tree, Anne Arundel County Police say. Lee Jay Norris, 42, of the 1500 block of Native Dancer Court was airlifted to R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for treatment of his injuries.
The single-vehicle crash happened about 12:30 p.m. Thursday in the area of Jones Station Road in Arnold. Investigators say Norris' Jeep Cherokee was eastbound on College Parkway near Jones Station Road when the SUV crossed into the median and struck a tree.
The primary cause of the crash was the failure by Norris to keep his vehicle in a single lane.

Neither excessive speed nor impairment by alcohol or drugs appear to be factors in the crash, police said.
