Annapolis Farmers Markets Offer Tasty Treats
Annapolis boasts several farmers markets featuring delicious foods, arts and crafts, and handmade goodies.
ANNAPOLIS, MD -- For the tastiest, freshest and most delicious treats around, pop by any of the local markets in the Annapolis area. The Anne Arundel County Farmers' Market, located at 275 Harry S. Truman Pkwy. in Annapolis, is held on Saturdays from 7 a.m. until noon now through Dec. 21 and on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. year-round. The market also is open Tuesdays from 7 a.m. until noon through Sept. 24.
Now in its 37th year, the Anne Arundel County Farmers' Market offers a wide variety of seasonal items such as fresh veggies, meats, hot breakfast items on the weekend, and specialty items on Saturdays and Sundays such as hard cider, baked goods, jewelry, doggie treats, soaps and more. Patrons love the selection of artisan cheese, pasture-raised eggs, fresh-cut culinary herbs, farm-raised milk and crafted yogurt.
Another place to visit is the Pennsylvania Dutch Farmer’s Market, also known as the Amish Market, located in the Annapolis Harbour Center in historic Annapolis. It’s open Thursdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. year-round with some holiday hours. Most of the market’s products are made in Lancaster County and feature fresh produce, candy, homemade goodies, and Hershey’s ice cream.

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources hosts a farmers market on Thursdays from June through September in the parking lot of the Tawes State Office Building, 580 Taylor Ave., from 3 to 6 p.m. The Westfield Annapolis farmers market runs now through October on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the mall’s parking lot near Macy’s.
