ANNAPOLIS, MD — The Annapolis Finance Director resigned abruptly Monday, according to reports. Bruce Miller resigned without giving a reason, the Capital Gazette reported, leaving Assistant Finance Director Melissa Leaman in charge.

According to city manager Teresa Sutherland, Leaman is up to the task. “During her six years with the City, Melissa has assumed increased duties and promotions due to her outstanding competency and dedication. We especially appreciate Melissa stepping up to help the City during our budget deliberations,” she said, the Gazette reported.
