Annapolis Firefighters Mourn The Loss Of Lieutenant Snyder
Annapolis Fire Department Lieutenant Joshua W. Snyder lost his battle against cancer Nov. 9.
ANNAPOLIS, MD — The Annapolis Fire Department is mourning the loss of one of their own. Annapolis Professional Firefighters Local 1926 shared on its Facebook page that Annapolis Fire Department Lieutenant Joshua (Josh) W. Snyder lost his battle against cancer Nov. 9. He was surrounded by family, friends and members of the Annapolis Fire Department at his passing.
Snyder was hired in September 2006 and was a graduate of the Anne Arundel County Fire Academy Class 47. He was assigned to the Taylor Avenue Station as a member of the special operations team and was promoted to lieutenant in 2017 when he was reassigned to the Eastport Station. He received several accolades, letters of commendations and a unit citation throughout his career. Snyder was 34 years old, married and had two children.
