Annapolis to Host Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2017 Parade

The annual MLK Day parade starts at noon on Jan. 16. Parking at an Annapolis city garage is free for spectators.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. third annual parade will kick off at noon Monday, Jan. 16, from Amos Garrett Boulevard heading down West Street to Church Circle, around the circle to Main Street, down Main Street, and ends at City Dock. Streets along the route will close at noon and are expected to remain closed until about 2 p.m.

The MLK Committee invites residents to join in and "celebrate the new year in the spirit of peace, love, and determination that Dr. King taught us and we are building upon!"

Parade check-in and lineup starts at 10:30 a.m., arrive no later than 11:30 a.m. Check in at Maryland Hall, 801 Chase St.

The Hillman Parking Garage will be open to the public, free of charge, on Monday, January 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to accommodate local businesses and those attending the parade. Regular garage pricing at the Hillman Garage will resume at 3 p.m.
