Approximately 150 people filled the dining hall at Heritage Baptist Church recently for the 19th Annual SOUPer Bowl Lunch for the Light House Homeless Prevention Support Center. Volunteers from the church ladled soups prepared by guest chef Brian Shallcross, general manager of the Chesapeake Baysox, for this donation-only lunch that supports the homeless in Annapolis and surrounding areas.

Donors at this event and those who gave online contributed $10,005 for the Light House, more than has been raised at any one of the SOUPer Bowl events since 2007. One hundred percent of the money goes to the Light House.

Heritage Baptist Church is an affiliate congregational partner of the Light House, offering support and resources throughout the year. For more information, see heritageloves.com
