The preservation buffs say the historic charm of Annapolis’ colonial buildings and cobblestone streets, and its location nestled along the Severn River and Chesapeake Bay, make it a top destination for weddings and romantic escapes.
“Romance is everywhere in Annapolis,”said Connie Del Signore, president and CEO of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Conference and Visitors Bureau. “See the midshipmen flirting at city dock, an engagement happening during a stroll at London Town, a stolen kiss at dusk at State Circle, or hand holding at Rams Head On Stage. It doesn’t get any more romantic than Annapolis.”

The historic charm of Annapolis’ colonial buildings and cobblestone streets, matched with the scenic beauty of the water of the Severn River and Chesapeake Bay, make it a a popular destination for weddings and romantic escapes.
