Police Arrest Annapolis Man in Connection with Stabbing

Sunday evening arrested a 38-year-old Annapolis man who they said stabbed another man with a tire reamer earlier in the night.

Otto Gordy, address unknown, was charged with first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, possession of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure and disorderly conduct, according to online court documents.

The incident occurred in an apartment in the 1100 block of Madison Street around 6 p.m.

According to police, the victim, a 48-year-old Galesville man, told police he was watching football with the resident of the apartment, a 39-year-old Annapolis man.

According to the police report, the victim told police the two men were near the back door of the apartment talking about an earlier incident involving Gordy when Gordy allegedly walked in and stabbed the victim with a tire reamer. The victim told police he was stabbed twice in the same spot. 

The suspect then ran out in an unknown direction, according to police. Police said the victim refused medical treatment.

Gordy was being held on $500,000 bond as of Monday morning, police said.
