Annapolis Mayor, City Council Inaugural Ball Planned
Tickets are available for the Dec. 4 inauguration ball after new Annapolis Mayor Gavin Buckley and City Council members take office.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Tickets are available for the Monday, Dec. 4, inaugural ball after new Annapolis Mayor Gavin Buckley and City Council members take office. The public inauguration event will take place outside on the first block of West Street, with an inaugural ball planned for later in the evening, according to a news release.
The inauguration ceremony will begin at 2:30 p.m. with a parade entering West Street from Calvert Street and ending at a stage on the corner of West Street and Church Circle. Monitors will be placed along West Street for better views of the stage for those standing farther away.
West Street from Calvert Street to Church Circle will be closed to vehicular traffic from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The inauguration ceremony is free and open to the public.
From 7 to 10 p.m. that night, an Inaugural Ball will be held at the Loews Hotel, 126 West Street in Annapolis. The cost is $100 per person and tickets are required in advance. A big band will play in the atrium; there will be free champagne and hors d'ouevres for ticket-holders. There will be a cash bar.
