Annapolis Police Officer Involved in Fatal Car Crash

The collision is under investigation; no charges filed against either driver.

An officer from the Annapolis Police Department was involved in a fatal car accident last weekend, according to a release issued by the Annapolis Police Department. The accident took place in Baltimore, MD at the intersection of Patapsco Avenue and Potee Street around 10:30 pm on Sunday, Oct. 3.

The officer, James Salyers, was off-duty at the time of the accident and driving his personal vehicle, according to city police. A passenger in the other vehicle involved was ejected from the vehicle and later died, police said. No charges have been filed against Salyers or the other driver, according to police.

The Maryland Transportation Authority Police Department is currently investigating the accident.
