Annapolis Police Search for Stabbing Suspect

Police say Norwood Nutter stabbed a relative during an argument in a parking lot Thursday.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Annapolis Police are searching for a man wanted for attempted murder for allegedly stabbing a relative during an argument.

The Annapolis Police Department has an arrest warrant for Norwood Nutter, 34, of Annapolis for attempted murder in a stabbing that occurred Thursday on Bens Drive.

Officers were called to a fight in a parking lot about 3:35 p.m., but couldn’t find anyone arguing or fighting when they arrived. Soon after, officials at Anne Arundel Medical Center reported that a 30-year-old man came to the hospital with a knife wound to the chest.

The victim told police he was in the parking lot at Bens Drive talking to Nutter, who is a relative. An argument began and Nutter reportedly took out a knife and stabbed the victim in the chest.
