Annapolis Rapper Young Dylan On 'Ellen' Show Thursday

ANNAPOLIS, MD —Young Dylan, a pint-sized 8-year-old Annapolis rapper who's appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" multiple times in 2016, is showcasing his skills again on Thursday's show.

Young Dylan, as he’s known, was the rap name bestowed on him by his dad, the precocious entertainer told Ellen in September 2016. On the episode airing May 25, Ellen welcomes back "Young" Dylan Gilmer to chat about his trip to Las Vegas to cover the red carpet at the Billboard Music Awards.

Young Dylan explains the meaning of the expression "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" and adorably tells Ellen about his experience. Plus, see highlights from the trip, including Young Dylan playing "Never Have I Ever" with Rachel Platten and meeting Ludacris, Lea Michele and DJ Khaled.

The Germantown Elementary School student told Ellen part of his motivation to be a rapper is to have 300 mansions when he grows up. One will be for him, one for his parents, and the rest will be used as an orphanage and for poor people to use.

The boy's parents created a “Young Dylan” Instagram page to display his rapping skills, which caught the attention of “Ellen” producers, the newspaper reports. Almost 183,000 followers of Young Dylan on Instagram can watch his videos as he puts his own spin on hip-hop songs.
