Annapolis Shooting Hospitalizes Man, Investigators Seek Tips: Police

A man was shot and hospitalized in Annapolis, police said. The 18-year-old victim is in stable condition. Investigators asked for tips.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A man was shot and hospitalized late Tuesday afternoon in Annapolis, city police announced Wednesday morning.

Officers heard about the man down in the 1800 block of Copeland Street around 5:18 p.m. on Tuesday. Authorities said they found the 18-year-old victim suffering from a gunshot wound to a lower extremity.

The victim is in stable condition, the Annapolis Police Department said.

The agency did not mention any arrests or leads on a suspect.

The Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland offered a cash reward of up to $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest or an indictment on felony charges. The Metro Crime Stoppers is a non-police organization that collects tips and shares them with detectives.
