An Annapolis Starbucks store across from the Naval Academy was re-dedicated Wednesday as a Starbucks Military Family Store.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — An Annapolis Starbucks store was re-dedicated Wednesday as a Starbucks Military Family Store. The location at 122 Main Street is among Starbucks' first Military Family Stores, dedicated at its original location in October 2015. Now, there are 37 Military Family Stores around the country, which are located near major military bases, with a specific focus on hiring and honoring veterans and military spouses.

The store is positioned just down the hill from the state capitol, and right outside the gates of the United States Naval Academy.

Guests at the ceremony included: Heather Campbell, Field Representative, U.S. Senator Ben Cardin; Pokuaa Owusu-Acheaw, Senator Chris Van Hollen’s representative; Will Rowell, Public Engagement and Community Relations Director, Annapolis Mayor Gavin Buckley's representative; George W. Owings III, Secretary, Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs; and Amy Looney, Travis Manion Foundation.
