In light of the forecasted extremely cold temperatures and sub-zero wind chills tomorrow morning, and to allow for sufficient time to make sure utility systems, heating systems, and school buses are working properly, all Anne Arundel County Public Schools will open two hours late tomorrow (February 20). There will be no morning half-day pre-kindergarten or ECI classes. Students in full-day pre-kindergarten classes will have class, and should report two hours later than normal.
Parents should ensure that their children are dressed appropriately for what are expected to be potentially challenging conditions as they wait at bus stops or walk to school tomorrow morning. Parents concerned about students waiting at bus stops or walking to school in the forecasted conditions should make alternate arrangements to ensure their children get to school.
