Anne Arundel Firefighter Killed in Car Crash: Update
Firefighter/paramedic Michael Golden Jr., who lived in York, PA, was killed Wednesday in a car crash there, officials said.

An Anne Arundel County firefighter-paramedic has died in a traffic accident near York, PA, where he lived, fire officials confirmed to Patch.
Anne Arundel County Fire Department spokesman Lt. Russ Davies told Patch that Michael Golden Jr. died Wednesday in a non-line-of-duty death. Golden was an 11-year member of the department assigned to the Brooklyn Park station.

According to the York Dispatch, Michael Golden Jr., 32, of York, PA, died in a crash about 5 p.m. from multiple blunt-force trauma. Authorities said the Volkswagen Jetta Golden was driving crashed head-on into a Jeep Wrangler.
Golden’s vehicle crossed the center line, striking the Jeep, reports FOX43.com. Golden who was wearing his seat-belt, was pronounced dead at the scene by a deputy coroner.

Howard County Fire and EMS tweeted: “Our thoughts are with you, @AACoFD. May FF/P Michael Golden Jr. rest in peace.”
And Baltimore County tweeted: “Our thoughts and prayers are with the Anne Arundel County Fire Department and his family and friends. Rest In Peace.”
