Most parts of Anne Arundel County received more than 8 inches of snow. Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works crews deployed 252 plow crews (72 county-owned and 180 contractors) to clear more than 6,700 county maintained roads. Crews will continue to work overnight, officials said Sunday.

Information about snow removal efforts and what residents can expect is available on the county’s Snow Information webpage: http://www.aacounty.org/snow.

As the snow winds down, school officials asked resident to clear the sidewalks in front of their home. "Yes, it's the law. However, it will also make things much easier and safer for students traveling to school, whether it is tomorrow or another day," the school system said on Twitter.

And the district posted a reminder about the number of school days in the school calendar. Two snow days are built into the 2018-2019 calendar for weather closures. If a third day is needed, Tuesday, March 5 (currently a Parent-Teacher Conference day), will be used as a makeup day.

Any additional snow days (including a third day if it occurs after March 5) would be made up the week of June 17-21.

That means that Friday, June 14, is not necessarily the last day of school for students, the district warns parents and staff as they make summer plans.

The complete calendar can be found at www.aacps.org/calendar.
