Argument Leads to Fatal Stabbing: Police
Two Glen Burnie acquaintances argued Wednesday night, police say, with one man stabbing the other to death.

A Glen Burnie man was stabbed to death by an acquaintance Wednesday night during an argument, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
Officers were called about 7:20 p.m. to the area of Whitmore Court and Shelly Road for a stabbing. They found Mohamed Bashir Eltahir a 38, from the 6500 block of Charter Road in Glen Burnie suffering from apparent trauma.
He was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Hospital for treatment of his stab wounds, but died at the hospital.

A police helicopter and K-9 searched the area for the suspect, identified as David Leander Ford, 58, from the 6600 block of Roberts Court in Glen Burnie.
Investigators say the two men knew each other and the attack was not a random act. Ford and Eltahir argued, then Ford allegedly stabbed Eltahir.

The suspect was arrested in the 2900 block of Bero Road in Lansdowne. Ford was charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, and dangerous weapon/conceal.
