ASCPS Accepting Applications For Parent Involvement Advisory Council

The Council provides input to the superintendent on ways to increase family engagement in schools.

Anne Arundel County Public Schools Office of School & Family Partnerships is now accepting applications for openings on the Superintendent’s Parent Involvement Advisory Council (PIAC). The Council provides input to the superintendent on ways to increase family engagement in schools.

The Council consists of two representatives from each of the 13 high school clusters, along with appointed representatives from several parent and teacher groups. Two current members have shifted to seats representing the newly-established Crofton Cluster. Those moves create openings in the South River and Arundel clusters. The entire list of vacancies is below.

Applicants must have a child in Anne Arundel County Public Schools. Members serve two-year terms. The Council conducts morning meetings six times a year at the Parham Administration Building in Annapolis.

  • Arundel Cluster
  • Broadneck Cluster
  • Chesapeake Cluster
  • Glen Burnie Cluster
  • North County Cluster
  • Northeast Cluster
  • Old Mill Cluster
  • Severna Park Cluster
  • South River Cluster
  • Southern Cluster

Applications, which can be found here, must be received by July 6, 2020. Appointees will be notified in late August
