Bomb Threat Temporarily Closes Annapolis High School

The building has been cleared, but after-school activities were curtailed.

A bomb threat at Annapolis High School disrupted after-school activities today, but the building has been reopened after being searched by police and fire officials.

On the Facebook page for the Anne Arundel County school system, Annapolis High officials said they became aware of the bomb threat shortly before the dismissal of classes this afternoon.

Most students were sent home at the normal dismissal time, but about 100 to 150 students who normally stay after school for sports or other activities were sent to the Annapolis High stadium as police and fire personnel searched the school building.
