Buckley and Savidge Endorsements Announced

BUCKLEY
AND SAVIDGE ENDORSEMENTS ANNOUNCED

Annapolis MD--- Our
Revolution Maryland and its Annapolis affiliate, Our
Revolution Anne Arundel, announced Thursday their endorsements
for the November 7th City of Annapolis Elections.

In order to receive an endorsement a
candidates name must be presented to Our Revolution (candidates can
submit their own names). Following submission of a name, the
candidate recieves a lengthy questionaire from Our Revolution. Upon
return of the questionaire the responses are circulated to all known
members of the local chapter of Our Revolution. As a grassroots
organization it is important that everyone is given a chance to weigh
in on the candidates and their responses. A pole of members was held
and overwhelmingly they endorsed two candidates. The local results
along with the candidates responses were then forwarded to Our
Revolution Maryland where the endorsment process was completed by
poling leaders throughout the state.

Because we are a progressive grassroots
activist organization our endorsement comes with local support. We
will be canvassing for our candidates prior to the election.

For Mayor the endorsement is for Gavin
Buckley. Mr. Buckley is a successful local business owner and
employer who has consitently demonstrated his concern for the City
and the wellbeing of its citizens. His views on housing, economic
opportunity, justice and policing, and education among other areas
are very much in line with the goals of Our Revolution. We are
pleased to provide this endorsement and look forward to supporting
Mr. Buckly's campaign.

For 7th Ward City Council
the endorsement is for Rob Savidge. Mr. Savidge is a climate
scientist with a long record of support for progressive issues. His
knowledge of the chalenges, compassion for equtable solutions, and
stand on key issues make him our choice for City Council.
