Busy Elf on the Shelf Parents Get Doctor's Note

From Anne Arundel Medical Center: Anne Arundel Medical Center (AAMC) is issuing very special doctor’s notes this holiday season! The medical center’s “Top 5 Health Reasons Your Elf Did Not Move” campaign tells parents not to fret or stress about forgetting to move their “Elf on the Shelf.” The holiday tradition and stuffed elf dolls (also known as “scout elves”) are inspired from the 2004 children's picture book, “The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition.” The campaign provides downloadable for-elves-only doctor’s notes, so that parents can chalk up a sedentary elf to common health reasons and earn a night off.
