Pollinators such as bees and butterflies play a vital role in our ecosystems and food supply, but they need our help!&nbsp;&nbsp; 
At this&nbsp;workshop, a&nbsp;Homestead Gardens expert will&nbsp;discuss&nbsp;pollinator-friendly gardening and simple ways anyone can support local pollinators, even with limited space. Learn how to choose pollinator-friendly plants and easy gardening tips for balconies, porches, patios, and small yards. 
Participants will create their own Bee &amp; Butterfly Starter Garden Porch Pot to take home, along with a Guide to Growing Pollinator Friendly Gardens and a coupon for Homestead Gardens.

Once the grand home of founder Henry Francis du Pont, the magnificent 175-room house showcases nearly 90,000 objects made or used in America since 1640—displayed much as the du Pont family lived among them. Maryland League of Conservation voters announces our next Green Drinks event on April 30 at 5:30 PM. It's shaping up to be a fantastic evening! The Homestead Gardens Beer Farm in Davidsonville is a beautiful outdoor space, and there will be live music, food trucks, and activities.
Plus, we'll be celebrating the end of Earth Month by bringing in experts on community solar and native gardening to talk with guests. We'll also be raffling off some awesome Patagonia gear, courtesy of the Patagonia Baltimore store!
Most importantly though, it's a great opportunity to gather with like-minded people who are passionate about the environment. We hope conversations at Green Drinks will spark inspiration and excitement and bring Maryland's environmental movement together in a joyful way.
