City of Baltimore It's Craaab'tastic, Sail250 Crab Soup Cook-off Chef Christa Bruno Wins, Tank Davis
June 30, 2026 - The "Charm'tastic Mile" of Baltimore (CTMB-1.3) www.thecharmtasticmile.com. The chic & famed 1.3 mile corridor located in the heart of Charm City (Est.1975) that connects Dwtn-West, the Inner Harbor & Harbor East (S. Greene & W. Pratt Street to S. President & Fleet Street) that is now listed on Google search as one of the Top 10-15 Most Famous Streets in America is reporting this past weekend (Saturday) was Craaab'tastic at the Inner Harbor.
With the backdrop of the Tall Ships and the NAVY Airshow at the Inner Harbor there was a Crab Soup Cook-off Competition. Baltimore & the State of Maryland is serious about its crab soups. Tourists & travelers come to Charm City and they look for local-dining places that feature crab soup traditional Maryland-style or Cream of Crab.
The winner of the Crab Soup Cook-off, 1st place went to local Private-Chef Christa Bruno. She also goes by the moniker "Girl In The Kitchen". Her winning-entry was a 20-year recipe for a marvelous Cream of Crab Soup that shined like the majestic Tall Ships docked Saturday afternoon. Christa's impressive win was vs some strong local-restaurants and caterers. Bruno topped Phillips Seafood, Jimmy's Seafood, Rogue Catering & the Lord Baltimore Hotel.
Christa is a Friend of The "Charm'tastic Mile" appearing on the WBFF FOX 45 Sunday Morning Show twice during the 6-year 110+ episodes-run for "The Mile". Her Cream of Crab was one of the segment highlights. Bruno also made the Tank TKO Chicken Alfredo dish that she made for the "Homecoming Boxing Week" of star-fighter Gervonta Tank Davis. Christa brought the dish to him for his weigh-in after-meal at Maryland Live! Casino. Tank would later be joined by superstar boxer Floyd Mayweather.
Tank won his Homecoming Fight vs challenger Ricardo Nunez by 2nd-round knockout on July 27, 2019 at CFG Bank Arena. Davis made news last-week switching trainers, leaving long-time trainer & father figure Coach Calvin Ford for Jose Benavidez Sr, father of David Benavidez the multi-division star boxer.
